Interesting to see how this review of Polish history by the Poles is a story of how the Poles were suppressed and suffered. There is no room for viewing history from more angles, it is only about the hardships of the Poles and how brave they were in conquering these. And this is not untrue since they had a very brute history. Divided in three in 1795 and once again a country in 1918 and then divided again in 1939 and conquered by the Germans and Russians after, only to become an independant nation again after 1989. So much suffering so little time ago surely influences how a nation looks at itself (or how we look at ourselves by the way)
